This way—even if you pick out something slightly greasy or not as good for you as it could be, you’re still selecting foods that are better for you than you would get at the local diner or fast food drive through window.

There are lots of things you can pursue to become healthy. Not all of them demand fancy gym memberships or limited diets. You can do small things every day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Being smart about the selections you make each day is a start. A proper amount of physical activity each day is also important. Don't forget that health isn't only about just how much you weigh. It is more about making your body as sturdy as it can be.

The ingredients needed to prepare Cherry Pies:

  1. Take 1 sheet of gluten free pastry.
  2. Provide 1 of egg beaten.
  3. You need 450 g of cherries stones removed.
  4. Take 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  5. Take 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  6. Prepare 2 teaspoons of cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp water.

Instructions to make Cherry Pies:

  1. Place the cherries, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan over a medium heat Simmer for 20 minutes then stir in the dissolved cornstarch.
  2. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes Set aside while you prep the pastry.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 oC.
  4. Roll out until the sheet of pastry Cut out 12 equal sized circles.
  5. Spread the cherries onto six of the pastry circles leaving about 1cm of space around the edge of the pastry, this stops the filling leaking everywhere when you bake the pastries.
  6. Brush the space you have left at the edge of the pastries with the beaten egg Place the remaining six circles of pastry on top of the filled slices.
  7. Seal the edges by pressing down with a fork all the way round the perimeter Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Cut a little steam hole in the middle of ech pastry Brush the pastries with the beaten egg and sprinkle on a little extra sugar if you like.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown Serve dusted with a little icing sugar.
